Grated Egg Toast Recipe

A quick and trendy breakfast toast topped with soft-boiled grated eggs. It's creamy, fluffy, and ready in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices bread any kind you like
  • ½ ripe avocado or 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter for toasting the bread
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped chives chili flakes, or a drizzle of hot honey

Method
 

Boil the Eggs
  1. Boil the eggs for 6 minutes to get soft, jammy yolks.
  2. Place them in cold water for 1 minute, then peel carefully.
Toast the Bread
  1. Heat a pan and melt the butter.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden and crispy on both sides.
Prepare the Base
  1. If using avocado, mash it with a little salt.
  2. If using cream cheese, just spread it evenly on the toast.
Grate the Eggs
  1. Use a cheese grater or fine shredder to grate the peeled eggs over each slice of toast.
Add Final Touches
  1. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and optional toppings like chives or chili flakes.
  2. Serve immediately while warm.
